High-quality laminates for durable finishes
Plasticizing is commonly used in jobs that require a special finish and greater durability. There are two types: gloss and matte. Matte lamination is ideal to combine with UV gloss varnishes, while gloss lamination is recommended to maintain the intensity of metallic colors. It is important to avoid its use on the inside covers of books and publications, as it may cause the covers to peel off.
Stamping and laminating for exclusive finishes
Embossing and embossing is applied at the end of the process, in areas with or without printing. This effect is achieved by using a male and female mold on the paper to create the desired shape. It is recommended to apply on paper with an adequate grammage to guarantee its resistance, and to avoid using lines or texts that are too thin to ensure an optimal result.
We offer gold, silver and metallic laminates, applying molds on metallic foils before transferring them to paper, leaving a glossy finish with the shape of the mold.
Varnishes and finishes that enhance your prints
Acrylic varnishes are an essential finish in quality works on matte paper, avoiding repainting during the handling process. In addition, combining them with gloss or matte finishes can create surprising results, providing a brightness and textures difficult to achieve by other means.
UV varnishes are used to selectively highlight areas or images. They are more spectacular than acrylic varnishes and must be applied over a previous offset varnish or matte lamination to highlight the gloss, because if they are applied over white areas, the effect will be almost negligible. They are often used as a substitute for gloss lamination in short-run publications.
